MADA'IN REGION, Iraq – A CH-47 Chinook helicopter prepares to land in the desert region of the Mada'in, located outside of eastern Baghdad following "Operation Winged Lion II," June 26. The Iraqi-led air assault clearance operation was conducted to assess security in the region and deny enemy movement into the city.
